Nutrition Counseling

We’re here to help you go from…

“I can’t enjoy my friends because I’m caught up in counting calories”

“I’m actually present in my life now instead of worrying about my food rules”

“I can’t stop weighing myself, constantly exercising, and thinking about my body”

“I know my worth isn’t based on numbers on the scale, and I can truly care for my body”

“I can confidently honor my hunger cues and enjoy the foods I like”

“I feel like I’m addicted to sweets and can’t stop bingeing on them”

Children & Adolescents

Family-based treatment (FBT) is an evidence-based treatment approach widely used in the care of eating disorders, particularly for adolescents and children. FBT recognizes the importance of family involvement in the treatment process and actively includes parents or other family members as key participants in the therapy.

Our Nourished Bodies offers FBT for children and adolescents recovering from an eating disorder, and can support you in building a treatment team if you don’t already have one.

How to Get Started

We provide virtual nutrition counseling to residents of California, Utah, and Tennessee (and other states on a case-by-case basis). You can start your journey toward food freedom!

Learn more about our sessions and services, including pricing, below:

  • We’ll meet virtually for 15 minutes to chat about how we can help you reach your goals of food freedom, body trust, eating disorder recovery, and more. You can book a free call through email (click here)!

  • $100 | 45-60 minutes

We will start our collaboration by conducting a comprehensive nutrition assessment. This involves exploring the reasons behind your decision to seek support, discussing your health and family background, addressing any food-related challenges you may have, and movement patterns throughout your life, and understanding your desired outcomes from our collaboration together. During this process, you will have the chance to ask questions and express any concerns you may have. This is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for what a session is like, and you can decide if you would like to continue working together.

  • $100 | 45-30 MIN

Each subsequent session will build upon the previous ones, creating a progressive and cohesive process. During these sessions, we will acknowledge and celebrate your wins while also addressing any challenges you may have encountered since our last meeting. Recognizing that the path to lasting and meaningful change is often complex and bumpy, these follow-up sessions will provide you with ongoing guidance and support throughout your healing journey.

The frequency of sessions depends on the support you feel is necessary - weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

**Christian-based counseling is available upon request.

* We currently accept American Specialty Health, Anthem Blue Cross, and Aetna. Otherwise, we will be happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible partial or full reimbursement. We are in the process of becoming credentialed with Blue Shield, and United Healthcare. Contact us for more information.

You can read more about how we make care accessible and about a Good Faith Estimate here.
